Racks

Keep your mallets in a safe place! We have two models which can hold up to 8 to 12 pairs of mallets respectively. Which one will you choose?

The Rack Collection

The standard timpani mallet mounting system, the rack is available in 3 sizes – 6 pairs, 8 pairs, or 10 pairs of mallets. The racks allow the timpanist to store their mallets close to them during rehearsal or performance for quick and easy mallet changes, without negatively impacting the sound produced from the drums like a trap table would. The racks feature a universal mounting system, allowing them to be mounted on either 6mm or 8mm cymbal stands.

Just like any other insoundmallets product, the materials we have used are of exceptional quality. The racks are built over a solid plate of stainless steel, the prongs are also made of stainless steel and covered by a polychloride rubber. The finished item is hand polished to create a mirror effect.

The RackPro

The Rack Pro is the most versatile rack you will find on the market.

This rack consists of 2 individual parts (2 mini racks) that when combined, make a bigger rack. The larger part is made of 6 pairs of prongs for 6 pairs of mallets. The smaller part is made for 4 pairs of mallets. The larger part can be used by itself on those programs where only a small number of mallets are required.

Another feature of the Rack Pro is the fast track. We have designed the prongs with different lengths and some added colour. This creates a visual effect that helps to locate any pair of sticks with ease, aiding fast stick changes.

The smaller part of the rack pro (4 pairs) features elongated prongs that allow the performer to store either very large headed mallets, or multiple pairs (up to 4 individual mallets) in one pair of prongs, to avoid the need to use another rake on those programs where a large assortment of mallets are required. In this way, the rack pro can hold nearly 14 pairs of mallets if needed.
