Bogdan was born in 1985 into a family of musicians and began studying at the Marin High School of Arts in Craiova. He began piano lessons when he was 7 years old.
At the age of 9 he began percussion lessons with Daniel Wesmas and in 2008 he obtained his Percussion Diploma from Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca guided by professors Grigore Pop and Nicolae Coman. During his studies he took part in various competitions, winning 1st prize in 8 of them.
His orchestral career began at the age of 14 as a Supplementary Percussionist in the Philharmonic Craiova. At the age of 16 he was appointed Percussionist of the Romanian Opera Craiova. Since then, he has been a Supplementary Percussionist or Timpanist in the following orchestras: State Philharmonic Râmnicu Vâlcea, State Philharmonic Sibiu, State Philharmonic “Transilvania” Cluj-Napoca, State Philharmonic Târgu Mureș, State Philharmonic Brașov, Romanian National Opera of Cluj-Napoca, Magyar Opera Cluj-Napoca, Romanian Radio National Orchestra, Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra, Royal Camerata, Bucharest Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Romania

As a student Bogdan was a member of the percussion ensemble of the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj Napoca, and also held solo concerts with orchestras as well as solo recitals. He was the Percussionist of the Romanian Opera Craiova between 2002-2004 / 2008-2009 and from 2010-2013 he taught percussion at Marin Sorescu Art High School in Craiova, and at the Craiova University – Arts Departement.
He was a percussionist at the Romanian Opera Craiova between 2002-2004 / 2008-2009, also for three years (2010-2013) he taught percussion at “Marin Sorescu” Art High School in Craiova, and at the Craiova University – Arts Departement. In 2009 till 2013 he was a member, as a percussionist in the Oltenia Philharmonic Orchestra – Craiova. Also between 2012- 2019 he was head of the percussion section at Romanian Youth Orchestra.
He is currently timpanist of the National Symphony Orchestra of Romania and since 2013 he is percussionist and substitute timpani at Bucharest National Opera House.
