Victor is currently the solo timpanist of the Extremadura Orchestra, Head of the Musikex Percussion Department (Extremadura Higher School of Music), Professor at the Valencia Percussion Academy, and member of the percussion ensemble Projecte SOXXI.
He has been a member of JONDE and since an early age he has collaborated with orchestras such as ORTVE, ONE, OSPA, ORCAM, OSN among others. As a timpani player he has been repeatedly invited to play with the BOS, OSCYL, OBC and the Munich Opera, performing with directors such as Kirill Petrenko, Vasili Petrenko, Frübeck de Burgos, Juanjo Mena and Lutz Khöler.
With the OEX he has performed concerts for percussion and orchestra of ‘Veni, veni Emmanuel’ by J. Macmillan; ‘Sonata for two percussionists and two pianos’ by B. Bartok alongside a premier in Spain of the concerto ‘Spices, Perfumes, Toxins’ by A. Dorman with the same orchestra. He also gave the premier of ‘Four Forces’ by Slavador Rojo for percussion and chamber orchestra.
Committed to contemporary music, Victor has frequently premiered works withdifferent groups such as Taima Granada, Add Libitum (Madrid), Cámara XXI(Madrid), or Grupo ENIGMA (Zaragoza). He has been a member of Neopercusión, a founding member of the Spanish Percussion Group Ensemble and Ensemble Sonido Extremo. Groups with which he has performed in the most important festivals of the Spanish classical-contemporary scene.
He has taught courses and classes throughout Spain, and was invited by Peter Sadlo to give a masterclass at the Hochschule für Theater und Musik München.
Victor studied in Zaragoza, Madrid and Barcelona with professors J. Belinchón, P. Soler, J. Guillém, F. Ruiz and M. Bernat, obtaining the highest marks and the End of Career Honor Prize. He plays in Neopercusión with J. Guillém, J. Rubio, F. Díaz and R. Más, and has attended numerous courses with percussionists and timpanists such as R. Seegers, L.H. Stevens, E. Sejourné, D. Searcy and K. Abe.
