The Mini combipad is the small version of The Combipad. With the same design and materials, we have created an “almost pocket size” Combipad that measures 140mm in diameter and 25mm in height with a 120mm diameter playing surface. It weighs just 0.4Kg. The Mini Combipad is extremely portable and can easily be used for warming up before performances, for example.
It has been designed with two different playing areas to offer a broad spectrum of opportunities for your practice. One side is made from virgin rubber for snare drum practice and the other is our very own black rubber for timpani practice.
Virgin rubber is an expensive material which provides high resistance compared to any other types of rubber. It has a high grade of elasticity and damping with excellent dynamic properties and rebound. In addition, it is designed to resist high impact hits and abrasions. It is a medium hardness rubber that gives a similar rebound to drums.
The timpani side is made with our personal and distinctive black rubber that creates a very similar rebound to that of a 23inch timpani. After testing different materials, our black rubber has proven to be the best material to create this rebound ensuring that it is a fantastic material to practice on.
Plenty of examples of the pad in use can be found on our social media video sections. The pad islong-lasting; however, we advise that sticks such as xylophone or drumsticks are not used on the Practimpad to prevent damage to the rubber playing surface.
The base is made with nylon that provides great stability when the Mini Combipad is placed on a flat surface. In addition, two hoops have been placed inside the pad to ensure upmost stability and minimize vibrations.
