The Eyepad is an eye shaped practimpad that is designed for those who are looking for a practice pad with a bigger surface area. The bigger dimensions of the Eyepad are closer to the real dimensions of timpani, giving a more authentic experience to your practice.
There are two models: Basic and Superior. The dimensions of both models are the same: length 410 mm, width 185mm and depth 30 mm. The playing surface measures 390 x 165mm.
The Basic Eyepad can be placed on any flat surface such as a table or on a snare drum stand, but it does not come with an adaptor for cymbal stands. The Basic Eyepad weighs 1Kg.
The Superior Eyepad includes an additional piece that allows you to attach the pad to a cymbal stand. This piece can be removed at any time to allow the pad to be placed on a flat surface. The Superior Eyepad weighs 1.3Kg.
The Eyepad is made with the same materials as the Original Practimpad. The base is made from nylon which has been manufactured in one piece to give it a perfectly straight finish. The pad is made with our personal and distinctive black rubber that creates a very similar rebound to that of a 23inch timpani. Two hoops have been placed inside the pad to ensure upmost stability and minimize vibrations.
After testing different materials, our black rubber has proven to be the best material to create this rebound ensuring that it is a fantastic material to practice on. Plenty of examples of the pad in use can be found on our social media video sections. The pad is long-lasting; however, we advise that sticks such as xylophone or drumsticks are not used on the Eyepad to prevent damage to the rubber playing surface. The design of these pads, together with the materials used and the careful fabrication process, make these pads solid, reliable and truly unique.
