Actea has held the position of Solo Timpani at Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao since 2016. She has performed with several international orchestras and ensemble such us Spira MIrabilis, Noord Nederlands Orkest, Radio Filharmonisch Orkest, Plural Ensemble, Orquesta de Castilla y León, Orquesta de RTVE, Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid and Orquesta Nacional de España among others. From 2013 to 2015 she was principal timpanist at Het Gelders Orkest, in The Netherlands. She has also participated in some album recordings, highlighting the 1st album from the Brass Ensemble from the Lucerne Festival and the Natalia Ensemble.
She obtained her degree in 2012 from Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Aragón, her hometown, under professors César Peris, Lorenzo Ferrandiz and Francisco Inglés. During this time she was a member of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra, Joven Orquesta de Euskal Herria and the Schleswig- Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra. Also she received tuitions from international solo players and percussionists from the main European orchestras.
In 2012 she received a Fidah scholarship to study a Masters degree in Maastricht Conservatoire in the Netherlands. She specialised in Timpani and Percussion Orchestral Studies with professor Raymond Curfs
Actea is co-founder of Goldenperc, a percussion blog created in 2017. This blog shares the experiences and knowledges from relevant professionals from this field. She coordinated the blog, which published more than 30 articles in two yeas. She also is author.
Besides her daily work as an orchestral musician, Actea does other music and pedagogical projects and she is regularly invited to teach masterclasses at conservatoires and music festivals.
